Running the Manchester side of things we have Skittles. His debut album Poor With £100 Trainers was released back in March to much anticipation of fans, but it was well worth the wait. Skittles’ style is casual but very…
CHORUS:
- I see the clearest picture
- I can step out of the loop
- Think out of the box
- Step into your socks
- You choose the doors and I'll pick the locks
- Quick to take the orders and shift the stock
- But still wyl the audience in the spot
- I still wyl the audience in the spot
- And I’m painting the picture dot to dot
- Dot to dot
VERSE 1:
- Let me break this down
- Growing up I developed the greatest sound
- But with a pen full of venom I helped shape this town
- This fucked dysfunctional multicultural racist town
- Let me break this down
- Growing up where I grew up your face is frowned
- Get dragged up, drugged up, found face down in the ground
- I’m talking doors broke down for 10 pounds of brown
- Let me break this down
- I’m the uncrowned king of this underground thing
- It don’t mean no Manchester town thing
- I’m talking global, watch the effects of a snowball
- Who’s stepping next to the noble?
- Too many regrets, I know no law
- Still I paid my debts, I owe no more
- And you need to remember that
CHORUS
- I see the clearest picture
- I can step out of the loop
- Think out of the box
- Step into your socks
- You choose the doors and I'll pick the locks
- Quick to take the orders and shift the stock
- But still wyl the audience in the spot
- I still wyl the audience in the spot
- And I’m painting the picture dot to dot
- Dot to dot
VERSE 2:
- Let me take it deeper
- Back to the room where I used to sleep with twenty-odd speaker
- Next day room it be twenty man deep, all round a computer
- And I don’t mean Fifa
- I didn’t play Pro Eva either
- I was straight up Cubased under a leader
- Logic meant that my tunes got meaner
- Eager MCs, Saturday night fever
- I could write 16s with ease
- But just a sip of Cherry Lambrini in the Breezer
- Couple of pints of Brandy in the freezer
- Bagging my E’s into threes, I’m a geezer
- I’m that Mancunian Caesar
- Footprint leaver
- Bit of a diva
- Trust nobody, but a firm believer
- Let nobody deceive ya

Sick track. I’d never heard of this guy. Good flow, and a nice theme. I’ve made two corrections: 20 man deep (not deeper), and “trust” not “push”. Nice one. I’d’ve slept if you hadn’t posted this!
Excellent work! You got a lot more of the words then I did – just one correction: “You choose the doors so now pick the locks” should be “You choose the door and I’ll pick the locks” – checking his lips, there’s no movement to support “now” in that line.
Good job fam! Nice correction. We’ve made the change as you were right! (Also, changed “ship” to “shift”) Any idea on that one remaining ? gap?
Cheers for your help.
Peace!

Damn man, good ears. That “pen full of venom” bit was insane. Good stuff. Good to have a Manny head helping out. Cheers.
Such a sick tune. Amazing lyricist
